Dedicated Dentist Wallingford
Get to Know Dr. Lupa Latif
Dr. Latif says that the best thing about her job as a dentist in Wallingford is connecting with her patients. She has the opportunity to interact with different people on a daily basis who all have their own dental concerns and goals, and she enjoys communicating and educating patients so they are empowered to make their own informed decisions. Before you meet her in person, you can start getting to know Dr. Latif below.
Why Did You Decide to Become a Dentist?
Dr. Latif decided to become a dentist while still in high school after watching her own dentist fix her sister's broken front tooth. Dr. Latif was thrilled to not only see the outcome of the procedure but also the work that went into restoring her sister’s smile. The dentist was able to comfort her sister, who had always been afraid of the dentist, while essentially rebuilding her tooth. Dr. Latif loved seeing both craftsmanship and interpersonal skills coming together to make such a successful interaction.
Where Did You Study Dentistry?
After graduating from Fairfield University, Dr. Latif completed her dental education at the Boston University Henry M. Goldman School of Dental Medicine. She is very involved in organized dentistry and is a member of the American Dental Association, the Academy of General Dentistry, and the Connecticut State Dental Association. Before joining our team, she also served and trained at the Codman Square Health Center in Dorchester, MA
Outside of the Dental Office, What Do You Like to Do?
Dr. Latif grew up with four sisters and two wonderful parents who supported way too many of her “crazy” hobbies (she still loves archery but admits she isn’t very good at it). Beyond dentistry, she spends her free time reading, painting, gardening, and trying new family recipes in the kitchen.
